Web design for independent businesses.

Give people a clear picture of your business and a useful next step. Sunset Solutions builds business websites and landing pages, with the scope shaped around what your customers need to understand and do.

Talk about your website

Start with the job your website needs to do.

A service business may need to explain its work and invite an inquiry. A campaign may need one focused landing page. A business with several offers may need separate pages so visitors can find the detail that matters to them.

We start with the audience, the offer and the next conversation. That gives the design a purpose and helps us agree which pages, content and connections belong in the project.

Agree what belongs in the build.

Your quote sets out the pages and functionality included. Depending on the project, the conversation can cover:

  • Page structure and navigation that help customers find the right service.
  • Responsive layouts for phones and larger screens.
  • The words, photography and other material needed to explain the business.
  • Contact forms and the handoff from a website inquiry to your team.
  • A campaign landing page, an existing tool connection or custom functionality.
  • Launch, ownership, access and handover arrangements.

Bring what you already know about your customers.

Useful starting material includes your services, examples of your work, the questions people ask before buying, and the action you want a visitor to take. If you have a logo, photography, existing copy or a current website, share those too.

We discuss what can be reused and what still needs creating. Content, integrations and review stages all affect the schedule, so those decisions are part of the scope before paid work begins.

See how we think about the next inquiry.

Our own website case study explains a specific change: replacing a download-only project brief with a request that reaches the studio. It shows the decisions behind the journey, without presenting sample screens as measured customer results.

The homepage also includes concept websites to explore design possibilities. Scott Beenk’s real estate website is a separate real project shown with permission on our approach page.

Price, timing and support are agreed with the scope.

The number of pages, content work, integrations and review stages affect the quote and delivery schedule. We explain what is included and agree the cost before you commit. Hosting, a domain and third-party software may have separate ongoing costs.

Ownership, account access and the files you receive are set out in the agreement. Maintenance, content changes and further improvements can be scoped separately after launch.

Tell us what you want your website to do.

Tell us what you are working on and where you need help. Oliver or Larsen will follow up about the scope and next step. Sending an inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.
